Why it is hard alone

A good product is not a way into the market.

Companies rarely fail in a new country on quality. They fail on how decisions are made there, who is trusted, and what a first conversation is supposed to sound like.

A translated pitch is not a German pitch

What convinces buyers at home can fall flat here. The message, the proof and the sales documents have to fit how this market decides.

The right partner is hard to read from outside

Who is reliable, what they expect, and how a cooperation is structured so that it holds: mistakes here cost a year, not a week.

Language is not the problem

People from different cultures decide, and trust, differently. Fluent words on top of the wrong assumptions still miss.

What Pontaro does

Six fields, one aim: that your international plans actually work.

Advisory, conceptual or operational, depending on what the situation needs. The work is modular, so you take the part that moves you forward.

Entering international markets

A systematic way into a new market instead of a hopeful one.

  • Selecting and prioritising target markets
  • A market entry strategy that holds
  • Go-to-market structures that fit
  • Economic opportunities and cultural factors analysed
  • Support through every phase of the entry

Building and securing partnerships

From choosing the partner to keeping the partnership stable.

  • Selecting and assessing suitable partners
  • Shared goals and expectations made explicit
  • Cooperation models that carry weight
  • Moderating cultural differences in how people work and decide
  • Stabilising sensitive phases of a running partnership

International sales

A sales approach adapted to the market you are selling in.

  • Sales approaches fitted to culture and market
  • Lines of argument for each market
  • Offers and price structures adapted
  • Support in negotiations and key meetings
  • Developing sales teams for international work

International positioning

One consistent presence, understood in every country you work in.

  • A sharper market presence
  • Culture-aware marketing strategies
  • Core messages refined
  • Marketing and sales material adapted
  • A consistent image across countries

Organisational development

Structures that carry international projects over the long run.

  • Intercultural factors in existing structures
  • Roles, responsibilities and expectations reviewed
  • Structural tensions in international projects identified
  • Processes developed for international work
  • International competence anchored in the organisation

People and team development

International hiring, integration and leadership done properly.

  • Concepts for international recruiting and retention
  • Preparing staff for assignments abroad
  • Integrating international specialists and leaders
  • Leadership in an international context
  • Clear conditions for stable intercultural teams
What you walk away with

Clarity first, then traction.

  • Clear, well-founded decisions in an international context
  • Strategic focus and priorities that work
  • A market presence with substance and convincing positioning
  • Reliable cooperation across cultural and organisational borders
  • Confidence with international audiences and partners
  • Structures that carry international plans for the long term
How it goes

Start with a conversation. Go as far as you need.

1

First conversation

Free and non-binding. A clear picture of your situation, from where you stand to where you want to go, and whether a next step makes sense.

2

Analysis on site, when it helps

For more complex plans: a short, intensive phase, from one day to at most one or two weeks, that gives you a solid basis for deciding.

3

Strategic direction

Your international plans set up so that markets, messages and partners fit together.

4

Hands-on work in defined modules

Marketing your offer, targeting your communication, developing teams and cooperations, or single measures where one is enough.

Questions everyone asks

Good to know.

What does the first conversation cost?

Nothing. The first call booked here is free and non-binding, and it already gives you something concrete: a clear read of your situation, and whether a next step makes sense at all.

We are not in Germany yet. Is that too early?

No. Pontaro works with companies that are already active internationally and with ones at the very start. Choosing and prioritising the market is one of its fields of work.

Which markets does Pontaro cover?

Germany, Poland and the Netherlands, from the founder's own life and business experience in all three, and in their languages.

Is this consulting on paper, or actual work?

Both, depending on what you need: advisory, conceptual or operational at your side. The modules are defined up front, so you know what you are taking.

Which language is the call in?

You choose it when you book. The booking shows the languages the consultant actually speaks, together with the free times.

What does Unlock Germany have to do with it?

Pontaro is our partner for business development. You book here, Pontaro advises and does the work, and we stay reachable if anything stalls. Unlock Germany charges you no fee. Our partners pay us for introductions, and a partner may charge for its own services.
